The Decentralized Sao Paulo Chapter brings together blockchain enthusiasts and professionals in the greater Brazil area.

Chapter Agenda :

i) approve the Chapter By-laws according to Decentralized “Chapter Rules & Regulations”
ii) agree on the Decentralized Chapter program of activities
iii) setting date & time of next months meeting
iv) electing the governing body of the Chapter – Executive Committee
v) among other points to be discussed.

d) Executive Committee Members & Mini-bio:
I – Marc XAB – President (Chief-Elected-Officer of Chapter)
Marc XAB is the Country Manager for Supermicro, a global leader in enterprise server and green computing technology. He has over 15 years of experience in the IT & Fintech industry in Brazil and Worldwide. Marc also supports & invests in Blockchain Teams for the development of integrated blockchain solutions. Prior to Supermicro, Marc held various management, executive and foreign service positions at 3B Scientific, IT9I and the Foreign Service. Marc holds a Master’s Degrees in Business Studies (J.F. Oberlin University), and Blockchain & Digital Currencies (University of Nicosia – currently enrolled). He is bilingual in: English & Portuguese.

II – Ingrid Barth – Vice President.
Ingrid Barth studied economics & civil engineering, an MBA in entrepreneurship and innovation from FIA-USP, and took first place with the most innovative startup idea at the FEA-USP Entrepreneurship Forum/ 2016. She specializes in treasury services in New York & Chicago (JPMorgan University) and specialization in innovation & design thinking (HiveLab SP). She has been in the financial market for more than 15 years, working in international banks such as Santander and JPMorgan. She worked as business head at Fintech Banco Neon and Foxbit, Bitcoin’s main exchange in Latin America. She is currently running her own fintech named Linker Bank, a digital account for startups & smaller companies. She is also ISO brazilian delegate ITU ONU Champion for Blockchain & ABfintechs and FIESP director.

III – Joao Oliverio – Secretary
Joao Oliverio is a Brazilian attorney with primary experience on Corporate/M&A, Venture Capital & Capital Markets transactions and Emerging Growth Companies. After working for big law for several years in Sao Paulo & NY, Joao Oliverio founded Oliverio Dal Fabbro Abid Advogados back in 2015 and has been pretty active in Brazilian fintech & technology sectors. During the years, he has been working for many technology companies (unicorns and startups), for venture capital funds and helping entrepreneurs to achieve their goals through a specialized legal advisory focus on the different cycles of startups. He graduated in one of the most prominent Brazilian law schools (PUC/SP) back in 2004, post-graduate in business from Fundação Getulio Vargas, and holds a master degree (LLM) from University of Pennsylvania Law School and a certificate in business from Wharton School. Joao Oliverio currently holds the position of Co-Chair of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee of the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association, is the General Counsel of Wharton Alumni Club Brazil and member of the board of APAA – Associação Paulista dos Amigos da Arte.

IV – Alberto Azevedo – 1st Secretary
CEO at Americas.Technology, a New York-based Company. Blockchain Enthusiast, entrepreneur, and startup maker. Alby was nominated as a finalist for 2 EMMY AWARDS in 2019 for documentaries produced by Information Television Network, a US Entertainment Company which was born in ABC Television and The Discovery Group. Graduated in Literature by the University of Michigan, he also has a degree in Information Technology and Design in Brazil. He has worked as Marketing Advisor for CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) and was one of the founders of the IAFB (Brazilian Football Assistance Institute) along with João Havelange, Zico, and Ricardo Teixeira. He was the founder of Top Of Mind, Digital Marketing Design Agency in Rio de Janeiro, that created and controlled for years the D’Or Network of Hospitals Websites and HCUSP Hotsites. In 2015 he founded a Fashion Startup (Modellagio that won C&A International Foundation Fashion Awards in Amsterdam) and Bit.One (a Blockchain Startup who won INOVABRA Challenge in 2016). Alby has received the ASHOKA CHANGEMAKER title in 2017, “IT PRO Innovation Award” (England / 2009), Innovators Prize (Spain / 2010) and the Astronaut Trophy in Estácio University (Rio de Janeiro /2016).

V – Cristiane Monteiro – Treasurer
Postgraduate in Finance & Economics at FGV and Service Design at EISE, Cristiane worked in the financial market for 20 years acting in the commercial inter-mediation of financial derivatives between banking institutions. In 2013, she began her studies in the field of innovation, futurism & disruptive models, in order to understand the impact of new technologies on business. From 2016 began to invest as an angel investor in startups which use Blockchain. She has also contributed as a researcher at the Blockchain Research Institute dedicating her studies to economics, finance and their applicability.
