Digital Identity Leader at Alastria – Convenor ESSIF at European Blockchain Partnership
Carlos leads the Digital Identity Commission (with more than 150 members) whose aim is defining the Alastria Digital Identity Model and making a reference implementation to be used by Alastria members in an interoperable way. And he is serving as co-convenor of the European Self Sovereign Identity Framework (ESSIF) working group of the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure that is the main project of the European Blockchain Partnership that joins together all EU Member States to push the blockchain technology in Europe.
He has develop his career mainly in Telco & Financial Systems and services, working more than 10 years in the Spanish Stock Marked leading the Blockchain & Self-Sovereign Identity applied to Financial Services and the team devoted to detecting and developing new business opportunities, such as communication services over SWIFT Net, trading solutions, market abuse detection tools, mission critical cloud computing or online notifications, authentication and contract signature using voice biometric and speech recognition. Prior to that he worked in large IT multinationals and he has been co-founder of start-ups.
