Dr. Adam BACK CEO, Blockstream Dr. Adam Back is the inventor of hashcash (used in Bitcoin mining) and co-founder and CEO of Blockstream. Adam has worked on e-cash protocols since 1995. He was an architect and cryptographer at Zero-Knowledge Systems, and a consultant to companies such as Nokia and VMware. Adam holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Exeter. A Professional Scrum Master by training, Ryan previously lead technical teams within global financial services firms including the mortgage banking, custodial remittances and hedge fund sectors. Dr. Garrick HILEMAN Head of Research, Blockchain Dr Garrick Hileman is one of the world’s most-cited cryptocurrency and blockchain technology researchers. He created and taught the first UK class on blockchain technology at the University of Cambridge. Garrick is the author of a recently published stablecoins research study, the first University of Cambridge “Global Cryptocurrency Benchmarking Study” and the follow-on “Global Blockchain Benchmarking Study”. Read More Silvio SCHEMBRI Jr Minister for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation, Malta Silvio Schembri is a Maltese politician, academic and economist by profession currently serving as the Minister for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation within the Office of the Prime Minister of Malta. Minister Schembri was first elected in Parliament back in 2013 and was then re-elected in 2017 after re-contesting the general election under the Malta Labour Party ticket, the party currently in government.
